Dont forget....

Borgo
tra gli Ulivi is a pretty villa for 11 people in a great
location halfway between Siena and Cortona. There are 6
bedrooms and 3 bathrooms and a fenced in pool for added
safety for the children. Within walking distance is a
pizzeria and the
Castello di Montecchio Vesponi which has regular
exhibitions and historical re-enactments. Just 3km away
is a train station with regular trains to Florence and
Perugia which allows you to 'let the train take the
strain' out of driving and finding parking spaces.
Florence needs little introduction but did you know that
Perugia is host to a
summer jazz festival - this year featuring Mark
Knopfler, Manhattan Transfer, Melanie Gardot and Sonny
Rollins - and the EuroChocolate Festival held in October.
Antica
Fornace (the Old Furnace) is a well presented villa
for 6 people located on a family wine estate. All the
bedrooms at the property have air-conditioning and there
is wi-fi throughout the villa. The family produce red
wine and white wine and you are able to sample their
products during your stay. The name of the villa comes
from the ruins of a brick kiln that were discovered when
the property was being developed. The bricks made in the
kiln were used in the building of the nearby Meleto
Castle and possiby even the Brolio Castle mentioned
above. The owners have incorporated the remains of the
furnace in to the villa by creating a dining area with a
glass viewing floor over it - it is quite unique!

Leonardo
da Vinci is possibly the most famous Italian throughout
history and in his home town of Vinci you will find a
fabulous
museum depicting his early life, his inventions and
copies of his art work. Just 5km from Vinci is Villa
Montalbano.
Villa Montalbano has amazing views across the local
countryside and can sleep up to 14 people - 12 in the
main house and 2 in the private detached annex. You are
able to walk to the nearest town for restaurants and
grocery stores.
